How to Vote Absentee

Complete an online Absentee Ballot Application.

Complete a paper Absentee Ballot Application and return via:

Complete a Permanent Absentee Ballot Application. Voters who enroll will automatically receive an absentee ballot for elections they are eligible to participate in.

How to Vote By Agent

Voters may authorize an individual (agent) to pick up and return an absentee ballot for them. This service is available only within the seven days preceding an election.

Ways to Return Your Mailed Absentee Ballot

 You may return your ballot using one of the following methods:

• Place your ballot in your mailbox
• Drop your ballot off at the post office
• Return your ballot to the county auditor's office
• Ask someone to deliver it 
  • This person cannot deliver more than three ballots

Deadlines to return absentee ballots

• A voter can drop off their absentee ballot until 5 p.m on Election Day
• Agent delivery ballots must be returned by 8 p.m. on Election Day
• Mail ballot precinct voters must return ballots by 8 p.m. on Election Day
• Post office can return absentee ballots until 8 p.m. on Election Day
