Cannon Valley Trail shines in recent Minnesota Bound episode

The May 27 episode of Minnesota Bound featured the Red Wing area and our region’s outdoor scene. Among the highlights is the Cannon Valley Trail (CVT), a 20-mile paved path through spectacular scenery from Cannon Falls to Red Wing. The Trail is administered by a 9 member joint powers board consisting of three local citizens and six elected officials, including Goodhue County Commissioners Brad Anderson and Linda Flanders. The board operates as a small unit of government whose only function is to operate the Trail. CVT occupies the route of a former Chicago Great Western railroad line. It stands out as one of the state's most successful rail-to-trail projects thanks to the vision and hard work of many dedicated staff and volunteers. Click here to view the video.
