Social Worker- Child Protection
Examples of Work:
- Interviews prospective clients at intake.
- Conducts child protection assessments and investigations according to state guidelines and laws, and/or works with child protection families on an ongoing basis to address risk factors and increase safety.
- Coordinates services for families and individuals to increase safety.
- Provides written court reports and court testimony as needed.
- Places and supervises children in foster home placements.
- Completes thorough and timely documentation.
- Conduct forensically sound, person-centered interviews to collect information about families, assess the safety and well- being of children, and develop plans to ensure safety and access to resources.
- Works as part of a multi-disciplinary team with law enforcement, the county attorney’s office, and other community agencies.
Minimum Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with a major in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or closely related field.
The pay is $33.48/hr. Full time: 40 hours/week.
