The Construction/Engineering Division of the Goodhue County Public Works Department develops and implements improvements to the county’s road and bridge system with the support of the County Commissioners. The staff continually monitors activity on the system which in turn provides data that is analyzed to assist in determining what projects are necessary to preserve the current road and bridge infrastructure. This data is then presented to the County Board for consideration. The goal is to provide a safe system for the traveling public.
The Highway 52 Freeway Partnership is a collaboration between Dakota, Goodhue, and Olmsted counties in association with MnDOT to advocate upgrading Highway 52 to a freeway design.
