The Goodhue County Sheriff's Office is offering the Sheriff's Citizens Academy, starting February 10th, 2025. Citizens Academy attendees will gain a working knowledge of the Sheriff's Office, such as the uniformed patrol division, special operations, criminal investigations, E911 operations, jail operations and other areas. It consists of 10 classes for three hours per session. Deputies, supervisors, and other personnel with expertise in different sections of the Sheriff's Office will conduct each instructional block.
The academy is free of charge. The schedule for the Citizen Academy is:

We ask that if you apply to the Citizens' Academy, you commit to attending at least 8 out of the 10 classes.
