Project Lifesaver’s mission is to use state of the art technology in assisting those who care for people with Alzheimer’s, Dementia or other related disorders that cause a diminished capacity and who cause someone to have a tendency to wander and become lost. These people include the elderly and even the youngest in our community who have Down syndrome, Autism or other developmental disorders.
The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office Project Lifesaver program can provide an extra measure of safety by placing a personalized radio transmitter on a loved one to assist caregivers and local emergency services in locating those who cannot help themselves. If you have a loved one that has a diminished capacity and has a tendency to wander please contact the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office Project Lifesaver Coordinator at 651-385-3155 and visit the website listed below for more information on the program including costs and limitations.
