Home Visiting

Home visits provide comprehensive and coordinated nursing services that improve pregnancy outcomes, teach child growth and development, and offer family planning information, as well as information to promote a decrease in child abuse and domestic violence.  Prenatal, postpartum, and child health visits provide support and parenting information to families.

Pregnancy

Pregnancy can be a joyous yet stressful time for families. Public health can provide home visits to you during your pregnancy to offer health assessment, education, resources, and support during this time.

Postpartum

Public health offers home visits to women who have recently delivered babies to provide education and support regarding the postpartum period and also regarding newborns and their care.

Children

Public health provides visits for babies and children for health assessment and education regarding infant feeding, health and safety, childcare, car seats, and parenting concerns.

Family Health
