Important property tax reminders
Posted October 10, 2025 by Assessor
The second payment of 2025 property taxes on non-agricultural property is due Oct. 15. Property owners in Goodhue County have several options for making a payment: by mail; by credit card on the county website (processing fee applied); using the drop box located in the alley behind the Government Center; or by visiting the Taxpayer Services counter in Room 206 of the Government Center, 509 W. 5th Street in Red Wing.
Please note the following:
- County offices will be closed Monday, Oct. 13 for Indigenous Peoples Day.
- 5th Street in front of the Government Center is closed for utility work. Sidewalk access remains open to the building's public entrance, which faces 5th Street on the ground level. Parking options include on-street parking and a temporary public lot located at the rear of the building.
- It may take longer than usual to speak with someone in Taxpayer Services leading up to the Wednesday deadline. Calls will be directed to voicemail, and will be returned as soon as possible. In-person visitors to the walk-up counter may have to wait in line for assistance.
- Tax payments for agricultural properties are due Nov. 17.
