Richard Samuelson Pavilion

Modern restrooms, drinking fountains, and shower towers will be closed for the season beginning October 16, 2024.

The new pavilion at Byllesby Park is named in honor of former County Commissioner Richard Samuelson. Byllesby Park would not be here today without Samuelson’s vision to set aside land for public recreation, his strong support for creating parks and trails throughout the County, and his advocacy efforts aimed at providing access to meaningful outdoor spaces for Goodhue County’s residents.

The pavilion features scenic views of the lake, unique architecture, a beautiful mural of the Cannon River on the ceiling, and is split into two wings with modern restrooms and community information at the core of the building.

Reservations are closed for 2024.  Reservations for the 2025 season will open Monday, January 13th at 9:00 am
