In accordance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) of 2003, The Goodhue County Adult Detention Center has a policy of zero tolerance with regard to sexual abuse and sexual harassment in this facility and will take appropriate affirmative measures to protect all inmates of sexual abuse and sexual harassment to promptly and thoroughly investigate all allegations of sexual abuse and sexual harassment. The Red Wing Police Department will investigate any criminal allegations. Any person may report an allegation on behalf of any inmate in the Goodhue County Adult Detention Center by contacting the PREA Coordinator at 651-267-2807. Reports can also be made to the Goodhue County Hope Coalition at 1-800-519-6690 or contacting the Red Wing Police Department directly at 651-385-3155.
In accordance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act, the Goodhue County Adult Detention Center is required to undergo a PREA audit every 3 years. We are required to post a copy of the Final Report once the audit is completed.
On September 27th, 2019, Capt. Mark Agre, LT Cory Gagnon, ADC Deputy Shelly Beck and Chief Deputy Jeremy Lerfald reviewed all PREA Incidents for the year of 2018. We additionally reviewed the ADC camera and security system and determined that all were in functioning order and no additional equipment was needed.
