Byllesby Park

Byllesby Park hours are from 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m., with quiet hours until 8:00 a.m.

Goodhue County Byllesby Park will soon have both reservable shelters and shelters that are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations for the Richard Samuelson Pavilion will open later this summer – check back for more details! Reservations are available April 15th – October 15th. Reservations must be made online. No walk-in or email requests will be accepted.

Now connected by the Mill Towns State Trail bridge over the Cannon River, Dakota County’s Lake Byllesby Regional Park is located on the northern side of the lake, directly across from the Goodhue County park.

Amenities

Upper Lake Area

The Upper Lake Area of the park has an additional (shallow water) boat launch, picnic area, and portable toilets.  This part of the park can be accessed from 23rd Ave Way, approximately 1 mile east of TH 56, and is not handicap accessible.

Master Plan

Goodhue County and Dakota County entered a joint venture in 2016 to develop master plans that create a unified vision for the futures of the two parks and provide planning tools for park development projects.

Shelters & Reservations

Goodhue County Byllesby Park has both reservable shelters and shelters that are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations for the 2024 season will open (date), 2024, at 9:00 AM.  Reservations are available April 15th – October 15th. Reservations must be made online. No walk-in or email requests will be accepted.

Dakota County's Lake Byllesby Regional Park also has a reservable shelter on the north side of the lake.
